Cross Country Stitching and An Exchange

Annemarie was wondering out loud on her blog why more stitcher's don't like Cross Country Stitching Magazine. I am a fan of this publication, and have been admiring the design below for a year or more. I know to some it probably looks cluttered and junky, but it really appeals to me. I hope that I'll actually be able to stitch it some day.

BeckyK received her first seasonal exchange from me yesterday. I stitched up this cute design from The Prairie Schooler. It is great being paired with Becky for this year-long exchange because we're both avid fans of PS, and they have some wonderful seasonal designs. Here are a couple pictures of what I sent her.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I really appreciate the comments that you leave; they really help to brighten my day.

Julianne, I love the Autumn exchange you did for BeckyK. PS remain a firm favourite of mine. As well as CCS, of course :o) I think the clutteredness (if that is even a word) is part of the charm of their designs! Reminds me of my household...

I really like them too Julianne :)
And what you picked is a darling example of their quaint country stitchings! I hope you stitch it for yourself someday too ;0)

Hey .. I also love CCS. I found out that all the color using in the design was beautiful. Well done on the Autumn exchange. BeckyK must be very happy to received it.

I'm late catching up on blogs ~ sorry! I love the CCS design you showed - is that in a current issue? Its hard here to find those magazines, believe it or not Wal-mart is the only place I know that has them.

I am a HUGE fan of CCS and have stitched many of the designs...most have been given away. I have a large collection of the mags. I love the colors and inspiration Linda includes in her designs. Most are for the country/prim taste, but bits and pieces can be used also. Wonderful job on the exchange basket!! Oh, I also have that pattern on my "future" to do list! :-)
