Say A Little Prayer for Owen


On Monday, I was walking my dogs when the neighbor's two little dogs came bounding off their property. They had gotten out without any leash on them and came barking into my dogs faces. Owen grabbed one of the little dogs in his mouth.

The teenage boy who lives there came running across the street and proceeded to punch Owen in the head, in an attempt to get him to release the little dog.

Owen suffered a fractured skull from the forceful blows. Fortunately, his brain and eye are going to be ok.

This has truly been a nightmare and unfortunately the neighbor has refused to take financial responsibility. It looks like there are court dates in my future :(

    Oh goodness Julianne how awful for you. Surely your neighbour could have let you control the situation and rescue the little dog from Owen. I hope that Owen recovers well. Sending healing thoughts. Ally xxx

    I am so, so very sorry this has happened. It actually brought tears to my eyes to imagine this. I hope Owen is okay. Please give us updates. We have had problems in our neighborhood with dogs running loose and BF doesn't understand my frustration with this situation. I will show him this post.

    My dear Julianne, my family will keep Owen in our prayers. And I hope the situation with the neighbors is resolved peacefully....prayers for Owen's Mama, so that this stress is gone soon....

    What an awful thing! It just riles me when people don't take proper care of their animals and then refuse to take responsibility for the results. I hope poor Owen recovers quickly and suffers no lasting effects from the incident. I'm sure you are an emotional wreck, too. Take care of your little guy.

    Oh dear Julianne I will pray for Owen. Dogs allowed to run loose are one of my pet peeves! I do hope he recovers completely.

    I am sorry to hear what that ass of a neighbor did to Owen..Teenager or not..It is inexcusable behavior...This really upsets me that Owen was hurt so bad..Please keep us updated on his progress and I will say prayers..

    This is horrible! I hope that Owen is doing ok. I will email you about a situation that happened to my friends dog...She got her neighbor to pay all vet bills and to pay for a new dog, yes hers sadly died from the incident.
